About the Instructor

Rick Crawley

CEO & Chief Instructor 

​Rick started Achilles Heel Tactical in 2017 after separating from the Marine Corps to pursue a new career in law enforcement. 

Rick has over a decade of combined experience in both military & law enforcement service. During his time as an infantry marine, he deployed 3 times in support of OIF and OEF operations. Rick fulfilled many billets on these tours such as Squad Leader & Scout Sniper Team Leader. While serving in law enforcement, Rick served as an OPOTA LE Firearms Instructor, SWAT team member and Patrolman. 

Rick's affiliation with Action Target as a LETC firearms instructor provides him with the opportunity to train law enforcement officers, military service members, and tactically minded individuals all over the United States.  Rick uses his training & experience, combined with continued studies & professional development to instruct his students.

The Performance Baseline Pistol Course offers advanced pistol training focused on refining marksmanship fundamentals and optimizing efficiency in motion. Building on the framework from our Baseline Courses, this program emphasizes disciplined execution, performance on demand, and strategies to improve through targeted training drills. 

Students will push beyond their comfort zones to develop speed, accuracy, and weapon manipulation skills under real-world conditions. Designed as a mobility-intensive pistol course, participants should be prepared for a physically engaging experience. This training equips shooters with the tools and knowledge to become confident, proficient, and adaptable with their weapon system. PERFORMANCE > PROMISE

The Performance Baseline Carbine Course is an advanced tactical carbine course designed to refine the fundamentals of marksmanship and elevate your skills to the next level. Building on the foundation of our Baseline Carbine Course, this class emphasizes efficiency in motion, disciplined execution, and the ability to perform on demand under real-world conditions. 

In this intensive carbine class, students will push their limits to develop speed, accuracy, and effective weapon manipulation. Performance is measured and enhanced through specific techniques and drills. As a mobility-focused carbine course, participants should come prepared with a solid fitness level. Equip yourself with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to excel. PERFORMANCE > PROMISE

The Rifle & Pistol Dynamics course is designed to build the individuals performance level in a primary & secondary weapons system. Shooters will be instructed on how to exceed their comfort levels in order to build speed in engagement & manipulation with both weapons. This course challenges students to problem solve and develop disciplined systems & processes while in close to intermediate range engagements. This course holds shooters accountable for every round sent down range.  Open to all competent and tactically minded shooters. Whether you are military / law enforcement or just a prepared citizen, you will receive quality training from AHT instructors and staff that will help develop your skills and mindset. Meals and Accommodations Details

Sunday Evening: Arrive at 5 PM and kick off the event with a meet-and-greet dinner at the Lodge.

Monday to Wednesday:

  • Start each day with a hot breakfast buffet at the Lodge.

  • Spend the day learning from Rick and his AI during elite training sessions. Lunch will be provided at the range.

  • In the evening, enjoy a gourmet dinner and relax with both instructors for an evening of conversation and fellowship by the fire.

Thursday Morning: Pick up a grab-and-go breakfast at the Lodge before departing by 8 AM.

Accommodations: Stay in a luxury cabin with your own private bedroom and bathroom, ensuring a comfortable and restful night. Each morning, wake up refreshed and ready to enjoy the day's activities!
